Student of the Year 2011

Mr. Neil Garbett, 3rd Degree Black Belt. Qualified Umpire & Referee.
First started training in August 1992 under Master Paul Donnelly at the Wolverhampton Club. He achieved his Black Belt in 1997 under the tuition of Mr. Mike Jones.
His teaching experience began with Mr. Lester Poxon at Walsall where he was the Assistant Instructor for many years, before moving to Wednesfield.
Neil has entered many National & International competitions successfully winning many medals in coloured belt and black belt divisions.
Mr. Mike Jones, 5th Degree Black Belt. Qualified Umpire & Referee.
Mr. Jones began studying Tae Kwon-Do in September 1985, training under Master Paul Donnelly at the Wolverhampton Club.
Over the next three years he competed in and won sparring and pattern titles in all of the major national competitions. These include the British, English, Welsh and Scottish Championships.
He gained his 1st degree black belt in 1989 and after continued success in competition, was picked to represent the T.A.G.B at international level. He also became assistant instructor at Wolverhampton, before opening his first club in 1992.
His main ambitions are to stay fit, keep training and introduce as many people to Tae Kwon-Do as possible.
